I've always been obsessed with farming games since I got my first phone like Hay Day, Farmville etc. I remember my very first farming game was The Tribez and to be honest the game has never been deleted since. The game was so popular that literally every one of my classmates was so addicted to it. Still, every game has its shine, and some might not last all that long.
A sequel to The Tribez was unveiled by Game Insight in early 2014 and has been warmly welcomed ever since. The Tribez & Castlez is a farm-based game that has removed a lot from its origins, but still has some of the most outstanding features that it will eventually turn into managing the city, fighting dragons and exploring the world.

The same engaging gameplay
The main goals of this game are building your city, producing food and exploring the land. You assign different jobs to citizens, click on different houses to collect resources like water, metal and wood. Food production is limited to a few methods, such as planting in fields or picking trees. Everything human beings do requires a certain amount of food as well as a lot of time ranging from a few minutes to a few hours.
Players have to spend a lot of time storing resources and earning minimal rewards or even spending real money to speed up the process. Also, with a sufficient amount of required supplies, new buildings and items will be unlocked. Players may also find that the warehouse is sometimes so full that it cannot harvest.
The more time you spend in the game, the more prosperous your kingdom will become. A good economy, lots of houses with factories, lots of resources and food for every member of society are the aspects your kingdom will have.
Completing tasks is necessary
There is a long list of missions waiting for you to complete. A variety of quests range from producing resources to developing the kingdom's economy and fighting monsters. Players must construct specific buildings and produce specific resources such as food, wood, etc. People literally take care of almost everything, so you need to recruit as many citizens as possible. Players must also wait in real time for fields, buildings, and trees to be ready for harvesting.
After completing a mission, players will earn a certain amount of gold with some gems, which can be used to purchase some special in-game items. It can be noticed that almost every single task that helps to expand your city depends on the blue crystals or on the cost of food. Blue crystals can be obtained by completing quests and letting people successfully complete their jobs. They can also be used to speed up the process if you wish.
After some simple quests, players will start receiving out-of-town missions. You will experience some tactical battle scenarios and fight some werewolves, goblins and even dragons.
Protect your kingdom
Besides building houses and growing crops, players need to build towers to defend their city. Monsters may not look scary, but they are powerful, numerous, and unyielding in front of you.

Upon reading the dialogues between the players and the characters, the players can see the kindness and humor in every line they speak. All characters in cutscenes and conversations are well designed and bring comfort to the players. Creatures aren't too scary but classically done with fun looking details.
Players must pay attention to every detail from a small part to a larger one, keeping an eye on the citizens and all available resources. You can tap trees, rocks, or bushes to gather resources and see what jobs you can afford.
Social features and offline mode
Players can become in-game allies and send requested items to support their friends through the social feature. If you run out of a particular resource, you can ask your friends to send you some.
The Tribez & Castlez works in offline mode, so you can play anywhere you want. No more worries about not having a hotspot or WiFi, as gamers can play the game during a flight, on the subway or on the go.
DISADVANTAGE
After playing the game for a while, the farming quests will repeat. Some of the old quests you've completed will show up, and it's pretty boring to do them over and over again. In addition, some quests are very time-consuming and unnatural. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day to complete a job that doesn't actually take that long.
GRAPHICS AND SOUND QUALITY
The graphics of The Tribez & Castlez are well done and give the game a lot of personality. Compared to The Tribez, the sequel looks a lot better in person with a bright, colorful world and neat graphic touches. The screen layout works well and players can even see the shadows of dragons flying over the city.
